Email templates customisation using PHP

Emails like new booking confirmation, reschedule and cancellation mails to the invitee and admin are customisable by overriding PHP templates. If you do not dabble with code, we recommend using the services of a PHP developer who has good knowledge in WordPress to do the customisations. The developer should copy the original desired templates from the plugin and place it in child theme folder and modify it based on your needs.

Why slots are missing/not available?

Slots and days can be not available because of one or more reasons mentioned below.

If conflict calendar is setup - If there is event added outside WPCal to your conflict calendar(say a calendar in your Google Calendar account) then that particular period will not be available. To troubleshoot try disabling conflict calendar of the event type's host admin.
Slot(s) are already booked for the specific period.
All slots of the day are booked so that day is not available.
By using custom availability a particular day(s) availability can be either changed by available time or marked as not available.
Conflict slot(s) are booked for another event type of same admin.
Slot(s) are not available because of advance Event Type settings like Max Booking Per Day, Minimum Schedule Notice, Event Buffers. To troubleshoot try disabling these settings.

How to set up/view/edit other admins' Event Types or Bookings?

Starting with v0.9.5.0, viewing and editing other admins' event types and its bookings are possible except privately managed event types.

To view/edit other admins' event types (Except privately managed event types)

Navigate to WP-Admin › WPCal.io › Event Types and click on the host filter and choose the desired host.

Click on the host filter and choose the desired host.

Event types of the selected host will be displayed. To view/edit, you can follow the same steps as you usually do to view/edit your event types.

To set up Event Types for other admin

Navigate to WP-Admin › WPCal.io › Event Types and click on the [ + Create New Event Type ] button.

Click on Create New Event Type

In the 2nd step, please choose the desired host and continue completing the next step to create the event type.

Visit the plugin translation page - https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/wpcal/.
Choose the required language and its locale. For example, French used in France will have locale code fr_FR. || When the translation percentage for a locale reaches 90% it then becomes available as a language pack for download by any WordPress site configured with that locale as it’s language. It will be updated (once created) even below the threshold. You can contribute if the language is not 100% translated or if you want to update the translations.
Check your Glossaries and Style Guides per locale.
Sign-up and contribute to the translations. On the translation screen, you will see a simple user interface with the source text and text area to provide translation for specific strings.

Follow the steps below to translate the plugin for your site manually

This is assuming you have already installed and activated WPCal v0.9.4.0+ plugin in your site.

In this article we have used French used in France as an example its locale code fr_FR.

Step 1) Create a .po file and enter translations

Method 1) Using Loco Translation plugin.

Download, Install and Activate Loco Translation plugin plugin in your WP site if not already present.
Navigate WP Admin › Loco Translate › Plugins › WPCal.
In the Overview tab, click on New Language.
Now choose the language you like to translate and select the location as languages/plugins/wpcal-{locale}.po (This is where you will get updates, the translation pack is available).
Now you can enter the translation and each text you want and save it.
